Welcome to the Red-Tailed Hawk Inn!

The Red-Tailed Hawk Inn is located in Tobinsport, Indiana, in beautiful Perry County.

The Inn is situated on 20 acres of riverfront property and borders half of a scenic river fed cove. At the end of our road is the Hoosier National Forest for your pleasure.

The Inn itself has three bedrooms, all with private baths. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and is decorated with a theme in mind. There is an old English style room, a contemporary California style room, and a masculine hunters style room with a mural on the wall of three rooftops.

The Inn boasts a full breakfast containing homemade biscuits and gravy, monkey bread, muffins, fresh fruit, homemade jams and jellies, plus a specialty of the day. This is all served with fresh hot coffee and juice.

Afternoon tea is a delightful time for guests to meet with each other and the owners and trade stories of the one that got away or sights that have been seen. The tea features ice tea, ice cold lemonade, tea sandwiches, hot entree (i.e., hotwings) and sweet treats.

For the children and young at heart there are games galore, swimming/fishing pond, hikes, or just relax with a good book in the library room.

The river itself may be your hearts desire and this is the place to be. The Ohio River is an easy eye's view from the Inn and just a very short stroll to the expanse of the river awaits you.

We are always happy to help plan that special occasion, come enjoy our Inn!

Please remember: limited smoking and no pets.

Directions:

Take Hwy 66 to Rocky Point, to the 66 and 166 junction.

Take Indiana 166 (you will see a sign that reads "Tobinsport 6 miles, Dead End")

You will follow the river past Millstone and will travel a straight-a-way (the river disappears at this point).

You will come to an S-curve. Take the first curve, but when you come to the second curve, you will see a sign that reads "Herbs & Healthcare". Take that road which is High Water Road #1. (If you miss it, you will end up at the end of the road at the river).

The road curves around and you will come to a "Y" in the road with a sign that reads "Dead End". Take the road towards the dead end sign (CR #45). Please ignore the small arrow that is attached to the sign, if is for the Fall tour.

The road turns into a gravel road and the river reappears. You will come out of a sharp S-curve and the Inn is approximately 3/4 mile on the right. There is a sign at the drive with 3 "R's" on it.
