Forgotten Times Cabins

Nestled in the hills of beautiful southern Indiana near the town of Derby
on the magnificent Ohio River, these
hand-hewn log cabins are a peaceful reminder of forgotten times.

The time of your life awaits you at Forgotten Times Cabins. These original 1850s cabins were disassembled and moved to their new home on a bluff overlooking Oil Creek.

The cabins are decorated with early American charm and loving care. The landscape is loaded with beautiful annual and perennial flowers, and the gently rolling property is handsomely manicured.

Enjoy your own private dock on Oil Creek with over 10 miles of navigable water, numerous backwater bayous and direct access to the Ohio River.

Two canoes are available to explore the peaceful, beautiful creek. It’s not unusual to spot graceful blue herons, gentle deer, industrious beavers, wild turkeys, or a myriad of migrating ducks. And the bass fishing is some of the best around.

Or fish and swim in the lake just a few feet from your front door.

60,000 acres of Indiana DNR and Hoosier National Forest wilderness, with seemingly endless hiking trails, are accessible directly from the property.

There’s something for everyone. But most importantly, leave your worries at the gate, enjoy the natural beauty, relax in the peaceful surroundings and put some special time back into your life.

You’ll always remember Forgotten Times.

Derby, selected by Sports Afield magazine as the number one outdoor sports town in Indiana, is nestled in the hills of beautiful southern Indiana.

Travel the Ohio River Scenic Route, a National Scenic Byway (Route 66), along the Ohio River to Derby, in Perry County. There, the Cannelton Pool on the Ohio River (a “lake” 114 miles long stretching from Louisville to Cannelton) offers the water sports lover an unbelievable paradise to explore and enjoy.

Water skiing and boating is unbeatable. Bass, crappie, catfish, sauger, striper and bluegill fishing abounds.

And, golfing, antiquing, sightseeing, cave exploring, historical attractions, winter skiing and much more are all within an hours drive.

It’s all here.

Come and see for yourself.
