Hoosier National Forest - Two Lakes Trail

Parking is available (see map). A parking fee is charged inside the Indian-Celina Lake Recreation Area between April 1 and October 15. Parking is free at other times of the year. Camping, picnicking, boating, and fishing are also available at the Recreation Area. The recreation area is open year-round, but services are reduced in winter.


  • Be aware of hunting seasons.
  • Use precautions for ticks.
  • If a parking lot is not available where you wish to access, be sure your vehicle is off the road.
  • Many trails intersect roadways. If you choose to use a road as part of your trip, be mindful of traffic.

Etiquette and Rules

  • Fees: Mountain bikers and horse riders age 17 and older are required to have a trail permit to use trails on the Hoosier National Forest. Trail permits are $3.00/day or $25.00/year. Trail permits are available at either the Tell City or Bedford offices of the Hoosier National Forest, through the mail, or from several local stores.   • Motorized vehicles, mountain bikes, and horses are not permitted on this trail.
  • Pack out your trash.
