Festivals


Perry County has annual events that are well attended by people all over. It also provides a good time for people who have moved away to come back and see all their family and friends.

Dogwood Festival

It is held the 4th weekend of April when the dogwood trees are in full bloom. This festival has been occurring for over 30 years. The committee each year puts out a brochure with all the weekend activities in it.

Perry County Summer Fest

Sponsored by the Tell City Moose Lodge.  This is a summer fest held in late June with rides, games, food and fireworks. A great place to celebrate the Independence Day.

Perry County 4-H Fair

Our county fair is held the 3rd weekend of July. The fair has many 4-H exhibits, food, and entertainment. Sponsored by the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service.

St. Augustine Church picnic

Schweizer Fest

 Held the 2nd Friday and Saturday of August in Tell City. Schweizer Fest has become a well-known community-wide celebration, offering free entertainment and activities for people of all ages. It is now one of Indiana's longest running festivals. Rides, food, entertainment, beer garden & much more.

Hoosier Heritage Fall Tour

A celebration of the fall foliage throughout the beautiful hills and woods of Perry County and a celebration of the area's history.

Das Holz Fest

Sept. 25 & 26, 2004. Held at the National Guard Armory. Furniture Auction and item appraisals.
